Dallas has worked hard to see the light in the midst of a stormy start to the MLS season. Last Sunday, Chivas USA put a blanket on that with a 2-0 win at the Home Depot Center. Tonight, FC Dallas will try to hop back on the win track at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C., the site of the team’s 2-0 loss to D.C. United just 10 days ago in a play-in game for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Tonight’s game is at 6:30 p.m. CT on FSC.

Despite a 1-4-1 start, which puts them in a tie for last place in the Western Conference with the Los Angeles Galaxy with four points, the team has picked up the intensity. Dallas will be looking for its second win of the season to avoid sliding into a deeper hole.

The team’s big effort was greatly handicapped last week after goalie Dario Sala earned a red card midway through the first half, forcing FCD to play a man short the rest of the game, until the last few minutes when Chivas had a player ejected.

Sala will not be able to play tonight’s game after his ejection last week, so Ray Burse will serve another game between the pipes. Rookie George John is doubtful to play, but isn’t completely ruled out after his rehab work to recover from a strained hamstring. Center back Steve Purdy could see minutes, but is still questionable.

The newest Dallas defender, 20-year-old Kyle Davies, signed last week, might be able to see minutes. The most questionable player for DCU is their all-time leading scorer Jaime Moreno (Achilles strain). United is fifth in the Eastern Conference at 2-1-3 and nine points.
