Part of community outreach

FC Dallas takes its practice today on the road, to the Keller Soccer Fields (D & E), at 6 p.m. It is all part of the club’s community outreach.
The team will stage a full practice and afterward, take some questions from the fans in attendance.
This is a good opportunity for those dad and mom soccer coaches to take notes on practice like the pros do it. It is also a great chance for the kids to see their favorite players up close and personal and perhaps grab an autograph.
There are two new players on the team—Ugo Ihemelu, a defender who grew up in Cedar Hill, and Marvin Chavez, an attacker from Honduras, nicknamed “Son of the Wind.” Chavez arrived in Dallas the day before last Saturday’s game with D.C. United and did not play.
Dallas plays its next game on the road Saturday, at the Los Angeles Galaxy. Its next home game is Saturday, September 26, when it hosts Real Salt Lake at 7:30 p.m.
