SMU's men's soccer team will take on North Carolina on March 20 at 5 p.m. in Houston. The match is sponsored by Houston's Albion Hurricanes Football Club (AHFC); the match is at 7455 Awty School Lane in Houston.
Three Houston-area SMU Mustang players will play in their hometown for the second time this spring, Blake Milton, a midfielder/forward from Klein Oak High School, Josue Soto, a midfielder from Campbell High School and Pana Vasquez, a forward/midfielder from Cy-Falls High School. The Mustangs took on Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer earlier this spring in Houston.
North Carolina was an NCAA finalist in both 2008 and 2009.
"With only two NCAA Division 1 men's soccer teams in Texas, AHFC wants to expose Texas, the Houston region, urban areas and surrounding suburbs, to some of the best collegiate soccer in the country," said Tony Johnson, AHFC College Assistance Program Director. "This is a great opportunity for all soccer players and fans."
Tickets are on sale for $6 apiece. For more details on the game or to purchase tickets, visit www.albionhurricanes.org/#.
