Duke’s James Belshaw is College Player of the Week

Duke senior goalkeeper James Belshaw has been selected as the Soccer News Net Men’s College Player of the Week for the week ending September 16.

Belshaw not only posted back-to-back shutouts against Georgia State and Clemson over the weekend, he also iced Duke’s 2-0 win over the Tigers with his first career goal, from the penalty spot in the 71st minute.

The Nottingham, England native made seven saves over two games last week, six of them against Clemson. He also stopped one shot as the Blue Devils blanked the Panthers 3-0.
