Seton Hall's Michael Kuzan is College Player of the Week
Seton Hall redshirt senior goalkeeper Michael Kuzan has been selected as the Soccer News Net Men’s College Player of the Week for the week ending September 23.
Kuzan had already been named the BigAppleSoccer.com Men's Player of the Week.
Kuzan made 27 saves over two games last weekend, 13 of them in a 2-1 victory over Delaware on Wednesday and a career-high 14 in Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Big East rival Syracuse. Ten of his saves against the Orange came in the second half. His 14 saves in that game were just two shy of the SHU single-game record of 16, set by Sean Carr at North Carolina in 2010.
For the week Kuzan finished with a total of 27 saves, 13.5 per game, a .931 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average. He leads the Big East with 6.83 saves per game and ranks second in the conference with 41 total saves in six games played.
