February 2, 2010 TOMORROW'S THE DAY MLS schedule to be released Wednesday
Major League Soccer will release its regular-season schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 1:00 p.m. CT on the league’s website, www.MLSnet.com. It will be released to other media outlets shortly thereafter.
Each MLS team will play 30 games – one home, one away, against each of the other teams – for a total of 240 games from March 25 to Oct. 24.
Wednesday’s announcement will include the national broadcast schedule for the 2010 season including games on ESPN2/ESPN Deportes, Fox Soccer Channel/Fox Sports en Español and TeleFutura.
First Kick encompasses the opening weekend of Major League Soccer’s season -- March 25-28 – and all 16 club home openers, which have been announced.
FC Dallas will open the 2010 regular season against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. CT at Pizza Hut Park. This marks the 14th time in the league’s 15 seasons that Dallas has opened a season with a home game. This is the first time that Dallas will host in-state rivals the Houston Dynamo in a home-opener.
