ABE STOPPAGE GOAL JUST IN TIME
To give Dallas one point in tie with KC
Dallas turned to its own “Mr. Clutch” Abe Thompson, who scored his third stoppage time goal in two games to swipe a win from Kansas City and give Dallas a 1-1 Fourth of July tie at Pizza Hut Park. The assist came from rookie Eric Avila on a 30-yard pass from just inside the midline on the left. Both Avila and Thompson were substitutions that came in to start the second half with Dallas trailing 1-0.

Hyndman looking for first MLS victory
Dallas certainly cannot be complacent about hosting Kansas City, mired in last place in the Eastern Conference, at Pizza Hut Park July 4. These two teams have a lot in common.

The Wizards (4-5-4) have 16 points and two games-in-hand over the Red Stripes (4-6-5) and 17 points.

Trio does not have to miss any FCD games
Three of the FC Dallas youth corps have been called to action again for their country as U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team head coach Thomas Rongen has named FC Dallas goalkeeper Josh Lambo and midfielders Brek Shea and Anthony Wallace to the 16-player roster that will compete against the Mexico U-20 MNT on Friday, July 11 at 8 p.m. CT in Laredo, Texas. The three players will depart on July 9 and are expected to rejoin FC Dallas on July 12.

It is time to vote for Dallas fans if they want to make an impact on the MLS All-Star lineup. Wednesday is the last day fans can vote for their favorite players to be included on the star-studded lineup which will face English Premier League team West Ham United July 24 at the BMO field in Toronto, Canada.

Hyndman notches first Dallas win, 2-1
FRISCO, TX--Just call Abe Thompson Mr. Open Cup for FC Dallas. The fourth-year forward now holds the Dallas record for goals scored in U.S. Open Cup play, adding markers five and six to lead Dallas past Miami FC 2-1 Tuesday at Pizza Hut Park.

The strikes couldn’t have been more dramatic, both coming in stoppage time at the end of each half. It added up to a game new FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman will never forget, his first victory since taking over the team two weeks ago.

CHIVAS RALLIES TO 2-1 VICTORY
Toja goal gives Dallas 1st half lead
A funny thing happened on the way to the first victory for a Schellas Hyndman-coached FC Dallas team Sunday night. It didn’t happen.

It all went away in the last eight minutes as Chivas de Guadalajara scored two late goals for a 2-1 exhibition win at Pizza Hut Park.

Game presents opportunity for younger players
Sunday’s exhibition match between FC Dallas and Chivas Guadalajara (8 p.m. at Pizza Hut Park) is a real treat for local fans of both teams.

Not only is it a rare opportunity to personally see the renowned Mexican club, home of many former and present world cup stars for Mexico, it comes in a heads-up match against the Dallas MLS club.

COOPER GOAL PULLS FCD EQUAL
1-1 tie earns FCD 'El Capitan' trophy
After a first half of lackluster, disconnected soccer, FC Dallas players and new coach Schellas Hyndman found common ground in the locker room and turned the tables on the Houston Dynamo in the second half.

Kenny Cooper’s header goal in the 62nd minute tied the game, equalizing a Brian Ching marker for Houston in the 22nd minute. That’s how the game ended, 1-1 marking the third tie between these two Texas rivals on the season.

MLS action has reached its midpoint in week 14 of the season and observers can’t really say anything for sure about this edition of FC Dallas. Really, the only thing known for sure is that Schellas Hyndman is the coach, and that wasn’t known two weeks ago.

FC Dallas finally enters the race for the Lamar Hunt Open Cup next Tuesday, July 1, when it hosts Miami FC of the United Soccer League’s 1st Division.

RED BULLS EARN WIN, REVENGE
1-0 loss spoils Schellas Hyndman debut
Players for the New York Red Bulls earned some revenge Saturday for an early season 2-0 loss to Dallas at Pizza Hut Park. FC Dallas scored a quick goal just 51 seconds into that game and New York never recovered. On its home grounds Saturday at Giants’ Stadium, New York paid FC Dallas in kind, making a Kevin Goldthwaite goal in the 16th minute stand up the entire game for a 1-0 victory.

It also spoiled the debut of new Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman, who watched New York outplay his team.

HYNDMAN FACES 1ST PRO TEST
Dallas faces Red Bulls in New York
Soccer may be a player’s game, but for Saturday’s 6:30 p.m. (CT on FSW and FSE) match between FC Dallas and the New York Red Bulls, a lot of the spotlight will fall on FC Dallas’ Schellas Hyndman, coaching his first MLS game in one of the biggest media markets in the world--New York City.
