FCD wins first scrimmage 5-1
FRISCO, Texas – In its first preseason scrimmage of the season, FC Dallas defeated Houston Baptist 5-1 today on the adidas Field at FC Dallas Stadium. Forward Scott Sealy had two goals and an assist for Dallas while Houston Baptist’s Kyle Herbison scored the lone goal for the Huskies in the 74th minute.

21-year-old Panamanian defender in fold
FRISCO, TX – There had been a few rumors that FC Dallas Head Coach Schellas Hyndman has been after defender Carlos Rodriguez of FC Tauro after his strong showing against the FCD in two CONCACAF Champions’ League group games last season. They are rumors no more as the team announced the inking of the 21-year-old Panamanian today.

FCD PICKS 3 IN SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT
Lee 1st Dallas pick; SMU's Ivo to TFC
FRISCO, TX—FC Dallas drafted three players in the MLS Supplemental Draft Tuesday, including SMU’s Ian Kalis, which FCD got with the 68th selection. Dallas’ first selection, with the 11th pick, was defender Alex Lee, from Maryland. Dallas next picked 49th and selected speedster Walter Hines of St. John’s, followed by Kalis. Another SMU senior, Arthur Ivo, was nabbed by Toronto FC, picking 41st.

Dallas hosts five games 1st two months
FRISCO, TX---Mark up your calendars FC Dallas fans. The MLS and the club have released the 2012 schedule. It begins with the already-released season opener Sunday, March 11, 2 p.m. against the visiting New York Red Bulls. That will be a national telecast on NBC sports. Dallas also treats the locals to a home slot six days later in the second game of the season, vs. the Portland Timbers, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. at FC Dallas Stadium.

'Son of Wind' has blown out of Frisco
FRISCO, TX – FC Dallas midfielder Marvin Chavez has never lacked for speed, coming here late in 2009 from Honduran first division squad CD Marathon with the moniker, “Son of the Wind.” The speedy flanker has blown out of his time with FCD, heading to the San Jose Earthquakes today in a trade for major allocation money.
