Ferreira named Player of the week

NEW YORK – FC Dallas midfielder David Ferreira was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters ( for Week 24 of the 2012 MLS season.

In FC Dallas’ road victories against Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Real Salt Lake, Ferreira notched three assists plus a stoppage-time game-winning goal.

In the last six MLS matches, Ferreira has two goals and six assists, helping FC Dallas to the club’s first three-game winning streak of the 2012 campaign.

This award is the 2010 MLS MVP’s second career Player of the Week selection, and is the first nod for an FC Dallas player this season.
