MURFREESBORO, TN --- North Texas played Western Kentucky to a scoreless tie, but Western Kentucky advanced to the Sun Belt Tournament final on penalty kicks, 4-3. North Texas went to a penalty shootout for advancement for the first time in 17 years as a program.

DENTON, TX- Kelsey Hodges scored on a free kick from beyond midfield to give North Texas a 1-0 win over Denver, Friday in Denton and clinch the 2011 Sun Belt Regular Season Title. The title is North Texas' fourth regular season title in the Sun Belt.

JONESBORO, AR.- North Texas soccer extended its unbeaten streak to three, and set up a match for the Sun Belt regular season title next Friday, with a 1-1 double-overtime draw at Arkansas State. The winner of next Friday's Denver-North Texas clash in Denton wins the Sun Belt Championship.

DENTON, Texas- North Texas (12-4-1, 7-1-0 Sun Belt) remains in control of its own destiny in the Sun Belt Championship race with a win over UALR (7-11-0, 3-6-0 Sun Belt). Carly McDowell and Ellen Scarfone scored for the Mean Green. With two games remaining in Sun Belt play, North Texas is mere percentage points behind Denver, and just in front of FIU in the standings.

BOCA RATON, FL.- North Texas soccer moved to just a half-game behind conference leader Denver with a 2-0 win over Florida Atlantic Sunday. Michelle Young and Ellen Scarfone scored in the first half for the Mean Green. That was a nice bounce back from Friday’s 1-0 loss to Florida International University (FIU).

LAFAYETTE, LA.- North Texas soccer extended its Sun Belt winning streak to four games by defeating Louisiana-Lafayette 4-0 at the Ragin' Cajuns Track/Soccer Facility on Sunday. North Texas' 4-0-0 start in the Sun Belt is its best since 2007.

MONROE, LA - North Texas continued its unbeaten start in the Sun Belt with a 1-0 victory over ULM at the ULM Soccer Complex on Friday. Ellen Scarfone scored the game's only goal in the 51st minute.

DENTON, TX -- Michelle Young scored twice to give North Texas a 2-1 win over Western Kentucky in the Sun Belt curtain-raiser for both teams at the Mean Green Soccer Complex. The win is North Texas' first over Western Kentucky in its last four tries.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - In its last game before Sunbelt play, the University of North Texas took a 4-1 fall to Cal State Fullerton behind a hat trick scored by Ann Marie Tangora as the Mean Green fell to the Titans 4-1 in the Nike Classic. Kelsey Hodges had the Mean Green's only goal.

DENTON, TX – As usual, Friday’s Metroplex Derby between the University of North Texas soccer women and SMU produced physical, compelling soccer in front of a sellout, boisterous crowd. What wasn’t so usual, the Mean Green (3-0-1) finished off the game with a 2-1 victory. It was the Mean Green’s first win over SMU (3-2-0) since 2005.

BOWLING GREEN, KY. - Third-seeded North Texas quickly bowed out from the Sun Belt tournament Wednesday night as they were upset by hosts, sixth-seeded Western Kentucky by a score of 3-0. Mallory Outerbridge scored twice for the Hilltoppers.
