ABDALLA DECLARES FIVE FOR FROGS
Two area players included in recruiting class
TCU has lifted its program under head soccer coach Dan Abdalla and potential new players have noticed. TCU head soccer coach Dan Abdalla announced Wednesday a list of five student-athletes that have signed National Letters of Intent to attend TCU. The talented crop of newcomers will begin competition at the start of the 2008 season.

TCU FINISHES SEASON WITH LOSS
BYU drops Frogs in conference opener
TCU’s youthful team dropped a 2-0 heartbreaking loss to BYU Wednesday night to end its season in the opening round of the Mountain West Conference Tournament in Provo, Utah. But a wealth of underclassmen means this Horned Frog team should just get better during the next few seasons. TCU loses just four seniors.

TCU FALTERS IN OT TO SAN DIEGO

TCU posted 12 shots in the match, including seven in the second half, but dropped a 1-0 overtime match to San Diego State to closeout its regular season on Friday on the road. Once again, the Horned Frogs provided muscle and a quantity of shots, but couldn’t finish its opportunities.

UNLV slips past 'Frogs 1-0
In a back and forth battle that saw each team gain a shot advantage in at least one half, the Running Rebels of University of Nevada-Las Vegas finally broke open a scoreless tie in the 98th minute for a 1-0 overtime victory Sunday at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium at the TCU campus.

TCU outshot Wyoming, 18-13, including 10-7 in the second half, but dropped a 1-0 conference match to the Cowgirls on Friday afternoon.

Senior Angie Nickens netted a goal in the 34th minute off a corner kick to give TCU a 1-0 conference victory over New Mexico Sunday afternoon.

Michelle Nguyen notches 5th goal
Michelle Nguyen netted a goal in the 12th minute of the match, but it wasn't enough as 16th-ranked BYU defeated the Horned Frogs 4-1 Thursday night at South Stadium in Salt Lake City.

TCU wins first Mountain West game
Sophomore Michelle Nguyen netted two goals, including one on a penalty kick to lead TCU to a 3-1 conference victory over Air Force Saturday night at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

TCU HOSTS COLORADO COLLEGE
Horned on road to Houston Sunday
The TCU soccer team returns to the pitch this week with matches against regionally ranked Colorado College and Houston. Start time for the contest against the Tigers is set for 7 p.m. Friday at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium, while the match against the Cougars will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday in Houston and will be broadcast live on CSTV.

TCU loses third straight game
TCU scored two second half goals, but it wasn't enough as Missouri upended the Horned Frogs, 6-2, Sunday in an offensive show at Audrey J. Walton stadium. The loss was TCU’s third straight after a string of tough opponents.

Sun Devils take 2-0 win in Fort Worth
Goalkeeper Kelsey Walters stopped five shots on Sunday, including four in the first half, but it wasn't enough to keep Arizona State from a perfect weekend as TCU's three-match win streak at home was snapped with a 2-0 ASU victory at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

Michelle Nguyen hits game winner
TCU’s season is gaining momentum, highlighted Friday night with a 2-1 victory at home over the visiting Texas Tech Raiders. Sophomore Michelle Nguyen earned the game-winning-goal on a second-half free kick in front of 1,558 spectators at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

Horned Frogs nip UTSA 1-0
The score was just 1-0, but on the field, TCU dominated UT-San Antonio Tuesday night at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. After hogging the stats for nearly the entire game, the Horned Frogs finally got the joy of victory when Jackie Torda netted a goal in the 85th minute off an assist from Lizzy Karoly.

Horned Frogs outshoot Owls 19-18
It was heartbreak time for the TCU Horned Frogs, who outshot Rice, 19-18 and missed several good opportunities, but dropped a 1-0 double overtime match to the Owls on Friday night at the Rice Soccer Stadium in Houston.

TCU hits the road Friday, headed to Rice riding the momentum of Sunday’s 3-1 win over Utah State. The Horned Frogs take on the Owls at the Rice Track/Soccer Stadium at 7 p.m.
