FORT WORTH, TX – Texas Christian University made a surprise announcement at the end of last season, with the dismissal of Horned Frogs’ coach Dan Abdalla. Now the TCU director of intercollegiate athletics Chris Del Conte tacked up a double whammy by announcing the hire of Florida State associate head coach Eric Bell as the Horned Frogs’ new head women’s soccer coach and Ryan Higginbotham as the assistant coach.

TCU barely wiggled into the Mountain West Tournament when Air Force lost its final regular season game. The Horned Frogs popped out of the tournament by a similarly slim margin, despite a goal from freshman Natalie Werner in the 31st minute of the match. It wasn't enough as TCU dropped a 2-1 double-overtime decision to Wyoming Wednesday in quarterfinals action at the Mountain West Soccer Championships.
